I was born in Japan and moved to Chicago when I was a few months old.  I learned to read music while playing the accordion, electric organ, and trumpet before I was ten, when my family moved to Tucson.  My mom suggested I play guitar, and I did.

Early on, as I learned the guitar, I started to get feelings and opinions about things that I was compelled to write about, which led to a life-long career as a songwriter. Soon my first song, “Oh My Bananas”, slipped out. After this, I started writing songs regularly, and chronologically. Some people keep journals, or write poems and letters. I write songs.

I'm writing the best songs of my life right now, and lots of them. I'm working on my tenth home studio album, “Seasons”, which I hope will be ready by fall. I'm doing this with the help of my band (me playing all the instruments and doing all the voices), and on a site called SoundClick, where I've had twelve songs in the top fifty, and I've just notched my first number one “Forever Young” on the Acoustic Rock Charts. I'm beginning to experience more success and exposure on the internet.

Please check back to see what's new and listen to the new tracks for “Seasons” as I post them.
